INTRODUCTION
Cineraria
Maritima Euphrasia eye drops is a product of Research & Development
of SBL in collaboration with BOIRON, France. It is a combination of well
balanced formula of homeopathy therapeutics for the treatment of conjunctivitis
and other inflammatory conditions of eyes. Conjunctiva is a mucous membrane
covering the anterior sclera (bulbar conjunctiva) and is reflected in the
fornices to cover the tarsal surface of the lids (tarsal conjunctiva).
The
severe type of conjunctivitis is known as trachoma which can cause blindness.
Conjunctivitis, therefore, needs quick diagnosis and treatment. Dr.J.H.Clarke
mentioned successful use of Cineraria Maritima in cases of early cataract
as an external application. Other drugs listed below also tend to reinforce
the action against cataract formation.
