(Quereus infectoria)

Dalchini
(Cinnamomum zeylanicum)
12 mg.
Hridpatri
(Digitalis purpurea)
15 mg.
Phitikhari
(Alumpulvis)
3 mg.
Pharmacology: Cinnamon apart from
being a carminative, astringent, and stomachic, is a good hemostat. It
is a stimulant to the uterine muscle, and is used in prolonged labour due
to defective uterine contraction.
Mainphal
is an aperient and ecbolic, and a bitter tonic. Hridpatri and Revandchini
are good haemostats. Phitikhari is a haemostat and useful in bleeding,
piles and leucorrhoea. Kutki is useful in amenorrhoea, and is a
cathartic emmenagogue.
Indication: Profuse bleeding whether
in uterine affections or in piles or through the nose or mouth and dysentery.
Painful complaints of the
uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries in females referred to in lower abdomen.
