Indications: Natural Antioxidant
Dosage: One capsule twice a day. Discuss the supplements and medication you take with your health care provider.
Mode Of Action :Ocimum sanctum elevated the glutathione and antioxidant enzymelevels (SOD) and decrease lipid peroxidation,thereby suggesting that hypoglycemic effect of Ocimum sanctum may be linked and mediatedthrough modulation of cellular antioxidant defence system. Tulsi is pungent and bitter in taste. It balances vata and kapha. It has main action on respiratory tract. It acts on cough. Cough is a disorder in which respiratory tract gets blocked due to kapha. Vata gets increased at that site and it produces irritation in the respiratory tract. So ocimum sanctum helps in pacifying the excess vata and also dilutes the saturated kapha and helps in eliminating it out. And thus it cures the cough. It reduces excess immune response in allergic asthma and allergies while enhancing normal immune function. In addition, in animal studies, it increases endurance, inhibits ulcer formation, and protects against gamma radiation.
